John Ralph De Leon
Chapter I
Background of the Study
Plastics
Biodegradable Plastics
Starch
Pagsahingin Tre sap
Conceptual Framework:

 Starch
 Boiling
 Pagsahingin
 Cutting
tree sap  Biodegradable
 Mixing
(Canarium plastics
 Rolling
Luzonicum)
 Tearing
 Cooking Oil
Statement of the Problem:
1. What is the extent of effectiveness of the mixture of 2 tbs. of starch and 5 grams of Pagsahingin tree sap having the
properties of biodegradable plastics in terms of :
a. Durability
b. Water resistant
2. What is the extent of effectiveness of the mixture of 2 tbs. of starch and 10 grams of
Pagsahingin tree sap having the properties of biodegradable plastics in terms of :
a. Durability
b. Water resistant
3. What is the extent of effectiveness of the mixture of 2 tbs. of starch and 15 grams of
Pagsahingin tree sap having the properties of biodegradable plastics in terms of :
a. Durability
b. Water resistant
Hypothesis:

The Pagsahingin Tree Sap have no significant properties that can be

used in making Biodegradable Plastic in terms of being water proof
or water resistant and its durability.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY:

People
Community
Future Researchers
Scope and Limitation:

The study will only be dealing in making

a plastic that can last during rainy days or seasons that
also called as water resistant and its durability.
Definition of Terms:
Pagsahingin tree sap or (Canarium
luzonicum)
Starch
Biodegradable Plastic
Water proof

Materials and Equipment:
Cassava Starch
Pagsahingin Tree sap
Cooking Oil
Pan
Knife
General Procedure:

A.Extraction of the sap

B.Cooking
Data Gathering Procedure:

Quantitative observation
Testing Procedure:
Quantitative observation to seek
the durability and water resistance
ability of the mixture.
