INTERNET CONNECTION FOR

STUDENTS: A NECESSITY OR
A LUXURY
Introduction

 Knowing on how internet connection being useful to


students. Internet connection for students is very
important for their education. The word “internet” is
derived from the word global and network. The
Internet is also widely used in education.
 Internet has undoubtedly become a huge part of our
life nowadays. Many students in todays generation
are relying/depending in the Internet to do research.
In fact, wherever you are or on these days you can
see a number of people holding some sort of gadgets
and computers using Internet to play games or do
research.
 Through internet , the students can easily look for
data or information in just a second. Internet is
accessible and it is very easy to use thus the students
can see the effectiveness and advantages of the
Internet
Statement of the Problem

 The main purpose of this study is to identify how


internet connection contributes a big help in the life
of the students and how significant it is when it
comes to education.
In sought to answer the following
questions:

 1. Profile of the students


 Gender
 Age
 Grade Level
2. Importance of Internet Connection
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

 The outcome of the study aims to benefits the


following persons:

o Teachers
o School
o Community
o Parents
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

DESIGN
 The researcher used the normative survey method.
ENVIRONMENT
 the local of this study was Mayor Anunciacion R. Tuazon
National School of Fisheries.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The study involves the grade levels of 8, 9, 10, and 11 students
at MARTNSF.

Research Procedure

With the permission of the school principal, the


researchers distributed the questionnaires to the respondents.
Then, the researcher finalized and rechecked the questionnaires.
After that, the researcher personally distributed the questionnaire
forms in the said grade level during their free time or in the
agreed time. After collecting the answered questionnaire from
the respondents then tallied their responses with corresponding
percentages. The data gathered were then analyzed and
interpreted in the light or the purpose of the study.

 Profile of the Students


With the age of the respondents ranging from
12-18 ,56.5% were females and only 43.5% were males.
All of them are officially enrolled in grade 8, grade 9,
grade 10, grade 11.
Situations in Internet Connectivity

Out of the 20 situations in Internet Connectivity. The


item that got the highest rating is item no.1 which states
that students can search what they wanted to learn with
the use of Google or other search engines like Bing, Yahoo
and etc. The item no.2 which states that students can learn
and take online classes anytime and anywhere.
CONCLUSIONS
CONCLUSIONS

 As a result of the above findings, the following


conclusions are drawn.
1. Female respondents were greater in number than
males, which found out that females were more
interested about the importance of internet
connection.
2. Majority of the respondents perceived that there is
really an importance of an internet connection, it is
proven that internet connection contributes a big help
when it comes to education.
RECOMMENDTIONS
RECOMMENDATIONS

In view of the fore cited findings and subsequent


conclusions, the following recommendation were made.
1. Since, majority of the respondents stated that internet
connection for students was very important, so the
researchers recommended to have an internet connection in
school in order for the students to access.
2. Since, majority of the respondents stated that internet
connection for students was not important, the researchers
recommended what they usually do without using internet but
the researchers wanted to have an internet connection in the
school.
