Replace Unit
The execution of this procedure can interrupt the DCC traffic from/to the system.
– Both FLC systems are installed with the same software release (redundant system).
– The defective FLC should be in status passive. In case of active defective FLC execute the FLC EPS
switch using the EP dialog “Edit” –> “FLC EPS Switch”.
(1) Shut down the defective FLC using the EP dialog via CT if the FLC is still operable
If the FLC is blocking (even not operable via debugger session), you have to continue with step (2)).
Plug in the new FLC. Interrupt the booting sequence immediatelly using the debugger cable

Wait until the installation of the new FLC is finished successfully – this step will finish with
the startup of the passive application on the newly installed FLC.

In case of plug in a new matrix board it is necessary to wait min. 45 minutes before switch over this
board from the stand–by mode to the active mode. This waiting time is mandatory for a complete
synchronization of the new matrix board.
Never plug out a LAX board while it is active. This causes traffic interruption of more than 100 ms.
Via NM/CT perform a forced switch operation to the LAX board that you do not want to replace.
This operation is not hitless!
Replace the switched LAX board (i.e. that does not carry the traffic) by the new LAX board.
