ABSTRACT
 The main aim of the project “Ranking of Colleges” which is very much
useful for the students to know the details of colleges like college ranking,
college infrastructure, college faculty, college placements and other
activities.

 This project will help to the all categories students like Engineering, MCA,
MBA and other courses. It is an interesting challenge to create ranking of
colleges to choose the best one. At present there is no any procedure or
system for assigning ranks for colleges. The current educational and
informational websites are showing only the college information and
college websites showing the college, faculty and other information. But
there is no system until now to display all the college’s details with
ranking.
Existing and Proposed System
 The present process for finding information on educational
institutions like colleges is through a news media, college web
site or educational web sites. But the manually process of
dragging the information on colleges is very difficult and to
select the best college based on the information collected is also
very difficult in the current process.

 The proposed system collects college information and various algorithms

designed in the project will provide college ranking, best colleges, top N
colleges. The information generated by the application will be very
much useful to students and parents.

 Each module has certain specific task in appropriately
running the application. In order to make the system
user friendly, each module is named with its major
function and features.

Primary partition.

Conclusion

 We have successfully designed the system which

provides ranking information about colleges. This web
portal is very much useful to students, parents for
taking right decision at the time of taking admissions
into the college. College Ranking web portal designed
with some constraints and based on the constraints the
ranks are genereated, depending upon the change of
constraint values the ranking will be automatically
changed. This web portal information can further
developed with additional futures.
