Adjectives are commonly used to qualify / describe nouns.

adverbs.

How to form an adverb:

We build most adverbs as follows: Adjective + ly.


sad + ly = sadly
quiet + ly = quietly

But there are some exceptions:


Change of spelling: angry – angrily / terrible – terribly
No change: long, straight, hard, fast, late
Irregular: good – well
Double forms: hard (in a difficult way) – hardly (almost never)
late (not on time) – lately (recently)

Order of adjectives

When we use more than one adjective to describe a noun, we must place
the adjectives in the following order before the noun:
