Big data refers to data sets which are difficult to capture
,manage and analyze effectively using current database
management software

It consists of unstructured ,semi-structured and structured


data which cannot be stored in a table format

INTRODUCTION As per latest survey conducted by IDC ,social sites are


creating a huge amount of data

From Twitter 500 million tweets are sent,6 billions searches


are done on google,3.6 billions of likes on Instagram & 5.75
billion likes on Facebook.

In the retail industry big data analytics can be useful for


making decision about pricing and customer behavior.
