Human behavior

Human behavior is the population of behaviors


exhibited by humans and influenced by culture, attitudes,
emotions, values, ethics, authority, hypnosis, persuasion and
genetics.
Human behavior is important factor in human
society. According to humanism, each human has a different
behavior.

 Introduction
Term personality can be interpreted in many ways.
For someone it is out look of an individual, for others, it is the
temperament or character of individual.
Personality is the overall quality of an individual’s
behavior as it is reflected in his way of thinking, in his attitude,
interest, manner of acting. It is more than his outlook, dress,
manner, and gesture similarly.
The term “personality” is derived from the word
“person”, meaning “mask” used by actor in drama.

“Personality may be define as the most


characteristics integration of an individual structure, mode
of behavior, interest, attitude, capacities, abilities and
aptitude.”

“personality development is the development of the
organized of behavior and attitude that makes a person
distinctive.
Development Domains
 Physical development:
It involves changes in height, weight and other structure
and process, in skeletal muscular and neurological features that
affect motor skills. At puberty boys and girls undergo growth
and development very fast.
 Cognitive development:
It involves all those changes that occur in mental activity
including sensation, perception, memory, thought, reasoning
and language.
 Psychological development:
It includes all those changes that concern a person’s
personality, emotions and relationship with other.

Factors Influencing The
Development of Personality
 Heredity
Many of the physical characteristic are passed into the
person by the family, such as physical characteristics such a
pretty, tall or short, fair or dark, big or small eyes etc.
 Environment
Whatever qualities and abilities are inherited by an
individual are developed because of his environment.
 Birth Order
Birth order of our personalities are influenced by
whether we have brother, sister, both, or neither.
 Cultural environment
Cultural has strong influence on personality
development. The cultural environment determine the basic
types of personalities that will be found in society.
Jung’s classification
Carl Jung describe two traits in personality:
Introvert and Extrovert
