valves

Can be released from device if retrieval is difficult

Pulling tool O.D. must be considered when selecting toolstring

size

Shear pin condition can give downhole indication

Can be run minus dogs to ensure clear fishing neck

Pulling Tools summary

Pick up weights are critical, perform before and after pulling

device
Dimension records – tubing ID, FN size, reach length, depth

Schlumberger Private
below FN, toolstring configuration, well conditions, well
limitations.
Function test before running in well
Strip and redress after use (may be necessary during runs)
Threaded skirts should not be used – use bell guides
Always perform drift run/safety run with gauge cutter
Always consider worst potential out come if going to pull
device after remedial work
Use the correct tool for the job
Use correct special tools when maintaining equipment
