My visit to Frankfurt for the 2014 Auto

Show was great. This was the 65th edition
of the fair. It took place from September
25th to October 2nd in Hanover, Germany.

I arrived in Germany on Tuesday, 23rd of

September, two days before the start of the
event. I flew from New York to Frankurt. I
enjoyed the flight a lot.

I arrived at the exhibition center on

Wednesday, which was the first day of the
show. There were outdoor and indoor
exhibitions and lot of visitors.

I first visited the electric cars pavilion.

There were several exhibitions by different
car makers. I enjoyed them all.
The place was full of people because the
cars were really amazing.

A few days later, I attended a presentation

about the cars of the future. The exhibitors
showed a 3D clip about new technologies in
car manufacturing. These exhibition was
very interesting too. They even had a see-
through model car made in glass.

Before the end of the show, I had the

opportunity to do a drive test of a very
modern vehicle.

I traveled with a group of visitors to a nearby

circuit. We chose our favorite car and drove
along the circuit for several minutes. I felt
like a real race pilot!

Before leaving Germany, I had to try the

local food: sausages, of course! During the
last day of the show, I visited one of the local
restaurants. I ordered the Frankfurter
Würstchen which means “The little
Frankfurt saugage” It was absolutely
delicious! I also had a sauerkraut (cabbage
in vinegar) and a beer with it. These are the
usual sides that German people eat with
sausage.

I attended the IX version of the F-AIR Colombia,

International Aeronautics Fair, organized by the
Colombian Civil Aeronautics and the Colombian Air
Force, which took place from May 11th to May 17th in
Rionegro, COLOMBIA.

I Arrived in Rionegro on the morning of Friday 11th

May, the day the event was inaugurated, two hours
before sun start. I took a bus from Medellin to
Rionegro and I really enjoyed the trip.

I arrived at the air base where the event was

organized and I found magnificent outdoor
exhibitions as well as hangars and many visitors.

I visited the test track. There were aerial

acrobatic exhibits and I enjoyed them all; the
place was full of people because the planes
were really amazing.

The next day, I attended a presentation on

fighter jets. The exhibitors were authentic
American fighter pilots and taught us all about
their most modern aircraft like the F-22 Raptor.
This exhibition was excellent, I could even climb
aboard an F-18 fighter.

Before the end of the show, I had the

opportunity to do a flight test in a simulator, it
was great and super realistic.

went with a group of friends to a simulated

parachute jump test, we chose our equipment,
helmets, gloves, parachutes and instruments
and we launched from a tower that simulates
the jump from a plane. I felt like a real fighter
pilot!

Before returning to Medellin, I wanted to try

some desserts and snacks. On the last day of
the exhibition, I visited one of the local pastries.
I ordered the dessert of Merecumbé, a dessert
made with gelatin and various types of cheeses,
it was absolutely delicious! The gastronomy of
the place is very rich in varieties of desserts and
sweets.
