SOLUTIONS
Unconventional office culture: They are providing a push to the white collared workers only
to get them to achieve its ever-expanding ambitions
• According to Henry Fayol Principle of Management two principles can be applied here, Unity of Command and Direction.
• As the policies of company defines that employees send inappropriate feedbacks for their colleagues to their supervisors of
HR and they entertain these type of things which should not be happened.
• There should must be the one manager to guide them properly and employees should also form a team not conflicts.
• Even the Scalar Chain principle can also be applied here as managers should be like understanding their employees’ situation
so that employees should go freely to their seniors with their problems.

Is Amazon would be able to attract and retain the engaged talent it required to fill the
vacancies?
• According to some report the working environment and staff facilities are almost about to worst in the amazon company
• They want to open new office which needs 5000 employee
• they have to change their environment properly and have to work on their image outside their campus that their employees
are not happy. They have to spend some money on that so that somehow they will be able to recruit the staff for their
company and can expand their business easily
No Monetary Appreciation
• According to Principle of Management by “Henry Fayol”, Principle REMUNERATION TO EMPLOYEES can have applied
here which says “the employees should be paid fair remuneration, which should give them at least a reasonable standard of
living” and which also increase in the encouragement and satisfaction of the employees and can develop the dedication among
the employees.

Short Temper
• According to this principle, “the interest of an organization should take priority over the interests of the individual employee”
with the help of this principle the organizational objective are obtained and it helps in building the coordination between the
individual and organizational objective.
• In spite of his infamous temper, Bezos was Ranked as the top innovator in 2013.

The office culture cultivated at Amazon led those outside of the company to
think negatively of Amazon’s ex-employees
• In my opinion Amazon has failed to friendly nature and discipline where it is one of the principles of management.
• Often a part of the core values of a mission and vision in the form of good conduct and respectful interactions.
• The management principle is essential and is seen as the oil to make the engine of an organization run smoothly.
Performance management at Amazon continued to be based on a bell
curve approach when other companies were moving away from it.
• Due to this the employees stopped working as a group and started to check what are mistakes done by their colleagues and they
use to report to the managers.
• The company failed to have unity in their employees.
• All activities must be carried out by one group that forms a team which must be described in a plan of action.
• The manager is ultimately responsible for the plans and should monitors the progress of the defined and planned activities.

Amazon did not have female employees in the top leadership team
• IT can give them a day which can be a "work from home" day, so that they can dedicate one day to their family.
• Amazon can hire those women who live within 10 kms of their office so that they can manage their time with office and home.
• If women are working 10 hours a day it can be divided into 5- 5 hours with an hour break.
• According to amazon taking care to the children is the major hindrance for success of a female employee so they could provide a
small creche like area where kids can be looked after while their mothers are working.
