Problem solving approach

 Applied different problem solving approaches

 Adopted problem solving approach
 Included participants from top management, middle, and operational
levels
 At initial stage GSK thought the main issue was lack of resources but
further it was identified that they had enough resources, however they
had to create a proper system
 The team carried out root cause analysis
Root cause analysis

 Once the specialized team was formed then the point where they start
working is to find out what was the root cause of the problem
 It describes a wide range of approaches, tools, and techniques used to
uncover causes of problems
 Root cause analysis is better when a group of people work together
 Team members were selected from different areas of the organization
that experienced the problem
 In the root cause analysis the areas that were focused upon are factors
that caused a nonconformance and should be permanently eliminated
