H0: There is no relationship between import

H1: There is relationship between import


(goods and services) and GDP
Correlation Analysis
It shows the results of correlation between import and GPD. In above figure the
value of Pearson correlation is .985** sig value is 0.000. The sig value is less than
0.05 and Pearson correlation .985** that shows that there is strong significant
positive relationship between import and economic growth. As the sig value is
less than 5 % I failed to accept the null hypothesis.

Conclusion

Conclusion Based on the overall study, in the Sri Lankan context, the import has the significant
positive relationship with economic growth. Further, the import has been associated by 98.5%,
which denotes that, there is a strong positive association between import and GDP.
