ANNEXURE A: Brief write up on
uniqueness of project

The first glimpse that one gets of the 50 acre sprawling Infosys
Pune campus is its eye-catching multi level car park – one among the
many challenging creations of Precast India Infrastructures Pvt. Ltd.

The 4.5 lakh sqft. facility comprises of a basement and ten

floors, catering to a parking capacity of around 1300 cars.

It is constructed with the combination of Prefabricated

members and Cast in-situ concrete shear walls (around 20% volume).
ANNEXURE A: Brief write up on
uniqueness of project

In addition to the precast concrete columns, beams, double tee

slabs, hollow core slabs, staircases, and spandrels used in this
structure, the uniqueness of the building lies in its stupendous, 1300
odd, 100mm lean precast concrete façade elements.

The precast concrete elements which make up this structure

speaks volumes about the innovations and the cutting edge
technologies that have been used for the construction of this imposing
structure.

All the precast concrete elements, were produced and

transported from Precast India Infrastructures Pvt. Ltd. factory 45 km
away from building site.
ANNEXURE A:Key Features of project
• Elevational View of Building
• Single Entry & Exit Ramp
• Intelligent Parking Management System
ANNEXURE A:Why IMLCP Precast
building?
• To complete the work in short time as compared
to conventional construction.
• Spans of up to 16m were required which can be
done easily using precast technology.
• The precast element can be given the desired
shape and finish with accuracy.( Eg: Facade)
• Superior quality of work can be achieved as it is
possible to have better technical control on the
production of elements in the factory.
• Space constraints in site – using precast
technology would mean lesser formwork and
scaffoldings.

Project Completion Challenges
• Accessibility to site for all erection works was from
one point Total Element Erected= 3659 No &
Concreting from one point Total Concrete=1150 Cu.m*
• Transportation management of precast elements
from 45 km far factory to site & its in time erection.
• Site stockyard management : Space constraint around
the periphery of building. Therefore difficulty in
managing precast element & all MEP & CIS material
stacking.
• Erection of Facade: Handling & erection of facade was
delicate job considering its structural dimension &
architectural imp.
