Project
Location

 The project site administratively is located in Kecamatan Parlilitan,

Desa Sitanduk, Kabupaten Humbang, North Sumatera. Desa Sitanduk
can be reached from Medan with car for about 8 hours with the
distance of 302 km. From Desa Sitanduk the Damsite and Powerhouse
can be reached by foot trough a foothpath for about 3 and 6 hours
walk, respectively.

METHODOLOGY
Groundwater Level Monitoring
 For groundwater observation and monitoring, wells or piezometers shall be
installed in selected drill holes where and as directed by the Consultant.
 In zones of good rock, where borehole walls are stable and collapsing of the
hole is not to be suspected, the piezometers can be equipped with a standpipe
only, to prevent clogging of the holes by blocks and soil.

 In zones of unstable rock

formation, a typical piezometer
standpipe will be applied, in
accordance with the consultant's
approval.
 Water table reading will be taken
periodically beginning after
completion of the well

METHODOLOGY
Seismic Refraction Survey
- Seismic Refraction Survey will be conducted using OYO Mc-Seis SX24 XP,
using Turbo Hammer as a Seismic source
METHODOLOGY
Seismic Refraction Survey
 The seismic refraction applied for investigated area is seismic profiling
Reciprocal Method. Hawkins (1961) method was modified by Hunting
Geology and Geophysics. This method is based on Laby and Edge’s Work
(1931), which is also known as the ABC method. The method is quite similar
with Hagiwara and Matsuda method. Each spread consists of 24
geophones and five to eight shots per run. The geophones are 5 m space
each for continuous study at proposed line. The total length per run of
seismic spread is 110 m for 2 spread and more (overlap 2 geophones), to
one spread 115 m length per run.

 Constructions of shots distribution are placed at space of 60 m for in

spread. The phantom shots are placed out of spread with distance 60 up to
600 m from the end of spread. The space of geophones applied in the field
is 5 m.
