PRONOUN

What is Pronoun?

 a Pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun or


another pronoun in a sentence or phrase. A pronoun
can function as a subject, object or complement in a
sentence.
Examples:
 David reads the paper; he reads it every morning.
(The pronoun “he” replaces the noun “David” and “it”
replaces “paper”)
 The boys didn’t make the team and they were very sad.
(The pronoun “they” replaces the noun “ the boys”)
PERSONAL PRONOUN
we use personal pronouns in place of the person or
people that we are talking about.

Possessive Adjectives
are used to show possession or ownership of
something. While we use them when we refer to
people, it is more in the sense of relationship than
ownership
