What is Graffiti?

Graffiti is writing or drawings


made on a wall or other surface,
usually as a form of artistic
expression, without permission and
within public view.
There are 8 types of Graffiti:
-Tag
-Throw-up.
-Blockbuster.
-Wildstyle.
-Heaven.
-Stencil.
-Sticker
What is Tag Graffiti?

-Tag is the most basic and the most


prevalent form of graffiti.
- It is usually written with marker
or spray paint and in one color,
which is sharply contrasted with its
background.
What is Throw-Up Graffiti?

-are usually painted on a


temporarily parked train or a
running bus. bencher. An individual
who does not practice graffiti, but is
an enthusiast of the graffiti culture.
What is blockbuster Graffiti?

- Blockbuster style stands for


large murals made of sprayed letters
that are done quickly, and
sometimes with the use of paint
rollers. The goal of blockbuster
graffiti is to cover a large space in
short amount of time.
What is Wildstyle Graffiti?

-Wildstyle is a complicated and


intricate form of graffiti. Due to its
complexity, it is often very hard to
read by people who are not familiar
with it. Usually, this form of graffiti
incorporates interwoven and
overlapping letters and shapes.
What is Heaven Graffiti?

-is a graffiti term which refers to


dare devil graffiti pieces that are
painted in places that are hard to
reach, such as rooftops, overpasses
and freeway signs, thus making
them hard to remove.
What is Stencil Graffiti?

-Stencil graffiti is a form of graffiti


that makes use of stencils made out
of paper, cardboard, or other media
to create an image or text that is
easily reproducible.
-The desired design is cut out of
the selected medium and then the
image is transferred to a surface
through the use of spray paint or
roll-on paint
What is Sticker Graffiti?
-is a form of street art in which an
image or message is publicly
displayed using stickers.
-These stickers may promote a
political agenda, comment on a
policy or issue, or comprise a
subcategory of graffiti.
Purpose of Graffiti:

-The purpose of graffiti can be to tell


a story; it can be to tell you about a
specific moment in time where
everything either went bad or good; it
can be to tell you about people, politics,
culture, art, places and society in
general; it can be to express yourself
anonymously.
