Now a days the pollution on the earth is increasing drastically, As a responsible person
for the polluting the earth we have to look into the our next generation we have save the
earth from pollution. Air pollution by Oil dependent vehicles are one of the most
contributor for the pollution also the availability of the crude oil deposits is very less on
earth so, for we have to look alternative solution, Electric Vehicle are the most preferable
alternatives to reduce the pollution and oil dependency.

As a MBA Students we have taken this into consideration to future market, we have
taken this to study the “Market Potential of Electric Bikes in Belagavi”, We taken help
from Hero Electric, Belagavi to understand the situation of a market and it help to study
in deeply by adopting research method.

The methodology includes Publication research, Surveys and other research techniques,
and could include both present and historical information. This study was conducted
with aim to study the Market Potential of Electric Bikes in Belagavi.

The researchers worked with team members using an action research approach to
analyze outcomes of project interventions and what influenced them. Discussed with
showroom owner and collected information about market and also what they want from
our research. Research was conducted during Jun -2019.

It was found that most of the respondents are aware about the electric
bikes.
It was found that majority of consumers came to know about electric bikes
through Exhibition/Auto Expo and Friends & Relatives.

It was found that power delivery and limited choice are major drawback of
electric bikes so for the customer are not come forward to buy the electric
bikes.
It was found that most of the respondents like to prefer the electric bikes
in future.

Electric Bikes manufacturing companies has to make awareness activities
to educate people about it’s benefits to them and also about contribution
to control the pollution in environment by them.
There are only few advertisements in social medias the current generation
people like to spend there time in social media, so for companies take
into consideration and concentrate on advertise in social media like

KLS, IMER, BELAGAVI


Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google.
As most of the people suggestion is to improve the power delivery and
limited choice in the variety of the models.
The initial cost of purchase the electric bikes need to be decreased it can
be done by adopting sophisticated technologies and carrying out mass
productions or some discounts on price or offers should be given in order
to increase the market share of electric bikes.

The above research study result show that the people have the
basic knowledge about the electric bikes but the companies
have to take step towards educate them by various media and

companies also have to look into develop the power delivery,
battery backup, speed and charging in less time to attract the
potential consumer.

Research Process: From this business research study we experienced how the

team and personally we are new to this study.

Telephone Etiquettes: The major part or proportion of the survey happen

through the telephonic survey, when we are trying to get a response from
population size of 200, only 65 people are take a time to give the response to
our survey questionnaire, It is not a easy job to do, if you are not well in up to
communicate with people, in this process we learnt how to interact with
people to convey them to get the response by using telephone etiquettes some
