The physical self is a

significant element in one’s


personality. Keeping it clean
and hygienic creates a good
image and allows one to feel
good about himself.
1. SKIN
 It plays a major role in one’s
appearance as it creates an
impression that implicates certain
attitudes and habits.
 Aside from outside covering, it also
maintains body temperature as it
contains as well the nerve endings
that feed the nervous system with the
stimulus from the external
environment.

a. Brush or comb you hair at least twice a day to maintain
body and shine as it releases natural oil from the roots.
b. Wash hair everyday with gentle soap and shampoo to
prevent dryness.
c. Use enough hair conditioner.
d. Have an intense treatment at least once a week.
e. Use your own comb or brush to prevent getting
parasites from others.
f. Color / perm / re-bond your hair with salon assistance
for extreme care.
g. Iron / blower your hair occasionally only during
significant events.
h. Trim hair at least once a month to get rid of split ends.
3. TEETH
 It affects our appearance and our
image.
*Cavities turns off people as it results to
‘foul breath’.
*Gaps in our teeth results to speech
problem.
 It also contribute a lot to our
appearance and appeal.
 Smiling entails a good set of teeth.
a. Maintain a regular oral care.
b. Brush teeth after meal and before bed time.
c. Use a mouthwash.
d. Use floss on hard-to-reach spots.
e. Prevent onset of cavity.
f. Maintain a healthy diet especially veggies
and fruits.
g. Avoid sugar.
h. Have a regular dental check up.
i. Avoid cigarettes.
