 Maruti Suzuki which was established in 1981, is a leading

four-wheeler manufacturer company in south asia which
has its manufacturing unit in Gurgaon.
 It is the market leader both in terms of market share and
revenue earned in India.
 It annually exports more than 50,000 cars & has an
extremely large domestic market selling over 7,30,000 cars
annually.
 Maruti 800 till 2004 was the India’s largest selling compact
car ever since it was launched in 1983.
 Until recently, 18.28% of company was owned by
government & 54.2% by the Suzuki of Japan.
