STUDENTS’ DIVERSITY IN MOTIVATION
Age
Students at young ages often see teachers as role models in the
classroom, while students who are somewhat independent while
studying in terms of critical thinking will somehow want themselves
as popular in classrooms by answering questions continuously and
see themselves as a teacher’s favorite.
Activities that have connections into their lives will be more
recognized and valued than on the irrelevant ones.
As students grow in nature, some will prefer more on Easy
Tasks Rather than on Challenging ones.
STUDENTS’ DIVERSITY IN MOTIVATION

Age
Elementary pupils are more powered up by their efforts
and hard works in bringing successes in their dwarf lives.
Students who are more influenced by Philosophies tend
to critic on their successes and failures because it is an
ability that is not changing and is uncontrollable.
STUDENTS’ DIVERSITY IN MOTIVATION
Culture
Way of living.
Students cultural Background will influence some of their
attributions.
Ex. Students from Ifugao who are learning outside Ifugao
tend to be criticized according to their way of living, in the
outside modern world incline Ifugaos as barbaric, and
somehow affects their motivational spirit and be off the
group and just keep silent inside the classroom. This is
because humility is more adhered in the Ifugaos taught by
Experts and Religion.
STUDENTS’ DIVERSITY IN MOTIVATION
Gender
God Addressed Human Being in the Sacrament of
Matrimony as Man and Woman, and not as semi-man and
semi-woman, but this is to be criticized by experts.
Affiliation- women are more vulnerable and emotional than
men. Oh really?
Women are hard working in school than men. Women are
more focused on attaining good outcome in schools.

Boys are typically found as under achievable students.

STUDENTS’ DIVERSITY IN MOTIVATION
Status
Students from lower class are susceptible in failing and
dropping school.
Students’ experiences during a fresh cook meal in a
fresh morning and a fresh mind will somehow show
some patterns of failing in school because of low
bread class( low income students) especially when
they have not yet reach their full metal capacity
mindset and see themselves weaklings and condemned.
STUDENTS’ DIVERSITY IN MOTIVATION
The Genius, the Retarded, and the Lonely
G Students who have high level of thinking skills often seek out
challenging lessons and are basically motivated to the subject matter in
the classroom yet they get jaded.
R “Try and try until you die” is not a motivation to them because they have
difficulty in learning and they assume that they will never achieve
because of past influences when time after time did the same failure.
L Students who are not well conditioned in mind and heart are vulnerable
to social failure and may lead to school failure because of the past
experiences they met while they are striving for their best show but
failed many times. Their miserable little lives may affect their
socialization to others and in school.
STUDENTS’ DIVERSITY IN MOTIVATION

2 Principles:
Social Influence- Students are more likely to
model the behaviours they believe they are relevant to
their situation.
Cultural Influence- Students develop greater
efficacy for a task when they see others like themselves
performing the task successfully.
STUDENTS’ DIVERSITY IN MOTIVATION

To motivate all of these kinds of student for learning, it is

best to use differentiated approaches
