 FUNCTION OF THE PISTON

Function of the piston is to transfer the force or thrust

generated during the power stroke to the crankshaft
through connecting rod.
It is connected to the connecting rod with the help of
gudgeon pin.
The piston also carries a set of sealing rings to prevent
the gases to pass through the cylinder .
