Why So Important?
Special Education, Rehabilitation and Civil Rights,
Career and Technology Education, Workforce Training,
Education Reform all help show to a parent the history
of special education law and why it matters to advocate
for their child. By giving parents a timeline to use they
are able to see what laws play a major role in their
child’s education. Many parents can be overwhelmed by
the information given to them so the simpler it is
presented the easier it is for them to interpret. Making
decisions for a child can be a challenge our job as
educators is to make it a little more less complicated.
