PLANNING The Project Initiation is the 1st phase in

the Project Management Life Cycle,
EXECUTION as it involves starting up a new
project.
MONITOR & You can start a new project by

 PROCESS
The second stage is planning. Here
INITIATION the project is divided into smaller and

The Project Execution Phase is usually
MONITOR & the longest phase in the project life
CONTROL cycle and it typically consumes the most
energy and the most resources.
CLOSING
 PROCESS
The Monitoring and Control
INITIATION Process consists of those processes
performed to observe project
execution so that potential problems
PLANNING can be identified in a timely manner
and corrective action can be taken,
EXECUTION when necessary.

MONITOR & The main purpose of monitoring

CONTROL and controlling activities is to be
proactive in finding issues ahead of
CLOSING time and taking corrective action.
 PROCESS

INITIATION The Project Closing is the fourth

and last phase in the project life cycle.
In this phase, you will formally close
PLANNING your project and then report its overall
level of success to your sponsor.
EXECUTION
Project Closure involves handing
MONITOR & over the deliverables to your customer,
CONTROL releasing staff and equipment, and
informing stakeholders of the closure of
CLOSING the project.
