Search Engine Optimization

Search engine Optimization(SEO) is the process of


optimizing your online content so that a search
engine likes to show it as a top result for searches of
a certain keyword.
There is four types of SEO -
1. White hat Seo
2. Black hat Seo
3. Gray hat Seo
4. Negative Seo

There is two parts of SEO-


1. ON page SEO
2. OFF page SEO
On Page SEO -

Google wants the user to be happy when


they visit your web page
Off Page SEO -
Off Page Seo refers to all of the activities that
you and other do away from your website to
raise the ranking of a page with search
engine.

1. Keyword research -
Keyword research is a core SEO task that involves identifying popular
words and phrases people enter into search engines -make in an
attempt to figure out what to rank for.

All keyword research starts with a topic, idea, or head keyword, also
called a "seed.

2. Title tag optimization -
Title tags form an important part of your SEO strategy. That’s because title
tags essentially decide how search engines read your title. They are HTML
elements that specify what the web page title is.

When you open a search engine results page, you see a title for each of the
displayed results.

SEO title optimization can help you boost your chances of ranking well in the
SERPs.
3. Meta tag optimization -
Meta tags are placed in the <head> section of a HTML document, and
so they need to be coded in your CMS. This can be easier or harder
depending on the platform that powers your website.

In short, they make it easier for search engines to determine what your
content is about, and thus are vital for SEO.

Meta tags are invisible tags that provide data about your page to
search engines and website visitors.

link.

Classified advertising is a form of advertising which is

5. Directory Submission -
Directory submission is simply submitting your website to online
directories. This strategy is no longer relevant, not in the post Panda-
Penguin era. Focus on quality link building and content.

In a simple way, Directory submission in SEO is a process of


submitting website URL on various business directories or web
directories to create backlinks. Backlinks are used by search engines
to improve ranking.
