A library has always been an important part of a developing or a developed area in any city,
town or village. There cannot be a place like this where one is surrounded by oceans of
knowledgeable material which is open to people wanting it, as long as the rules are followed.
Getting lost in a library is the best way one can ever get lost somewhere.
Libraries were created to have an impact on the societal behaviour. It is a place that plays
major role in diverting the behaviour from socially destructive activities and expose the
populous to literature and Recreative activities.
A library is a collection of sources of information and similar resources, made accessible to a
defined community for reference or borrowing. It provides physical or digital access to
material, and may be a physical building or room, or a virtual space, or both. . A cultural
centre is an organization, building or complex that promotes culture and arts. Cultural centres
can be run by neighbourhood community, arts organizations, private facilities, government-
sponsored, or activist.
There are many types of libraries open to their defined communities like:
Public libraries Academic libraries
Medical libraries Bookless libraries
Associated libraries Borrowing centre
BASIC THOUGHT BEHIND SUCH PROJECT:
A place where people can enhance their knowledge, with the help of books and other
material present there, this is the basic function of the place. along with this library there
would be cultural centre where there’s going to be number of functions which is to be
carried out along with the basic function of a library, like giving away books to needy ones,
accepting books that could be added to the library collection, gathering areas for seminars,
programmes, publishing of books, etc. The motive of this library is to bring together all
classes of the society and allow access to everyone who is looking for knowledge. The
barrier between people who are genuinely thirsty for knowledge and the material required
is to be removed.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
• To understand the need of people
• To make awareness towards education and learning.
• To create massive social impact, acting as an economic enabler.
• To create a social hub and learning hub.
• To create social-culture exchange and ideas in the society.
• To design the place which can experience it all under one roof.
SCOPE:
This place is developed into open space as well as closed and semi closed spaces. to bring
people together, to provide them pleasant spaces to read, to gather, to encourage art,
skill, talent, and most importantly, to satisfy the thirst for knowledge.
The site selection of this project is in Parbhani as there is a need of such library where
everyone could come and contribute at one place by giving and taking the knowledge or a
social gathering place where workshops related education will take place .This will help
people to know about different things going in and around the city.
