    The command form of a verb
    is also known as the “imperative”.

    In English the is dropped (deleted)


    from a statement to form the imperative.

    It is formed the same way in French.

    Did you notice?
    The command form for “tu” with –er verbs is the
    same as the regular il/elle/on form of the verb.
    That is, the final “s” of the “tu” form is dropped.

    This only happens with the “tu” commands of “-er” verbs.

    In English, when you include yourself in the suggestion,
    the subject pronoun changes from “we” in the statement
    to “Let’s” in the command form.

    Note: “Let’s” is a contraction of “let + us” meaning “Why don’t we?


    But in French, when you want to include yourself in the suggestion,
    you still just discard the subject pronoun.

    the verb with “ne” (n’) and “pas” as usual.
    Examples:
