Aspects regarding the

quality of environmental
factors in
Bucharest-Romania
Coordinator: Student:
Dr. psih. eng. Carmen Ioan Eng. Petronela Anghel
Fundamentals of environmental factors
in urban areas
 Air pollution
 The main classifications of the sources of atmospheric pollution
 Water pollution
 The main pressures on water resources

 Soil pollution
 Pressure factors on soil quality
 Noise pollution
 External sources are those sources that produce noise outside buildings
(industrial, commercial, transport sources, etc.). Outside noise is virtually of
permanent low intensity and low frequency. It is considered to be a
background noise and it is dotted with acute high intensity and frequency.
 Internal sources of noise are plumbing facilities, water and sewage plants,
radiators, lift, radio, TV, vacuum cleaner etc. In addition to this there is
talking, screaming, crying etc.

 Liquid residues
 The effects of noise pollution on the environment
 Noise is particularly harmful for human life and activity. The noise from
industrial activities and transport participating in road, rail and air transport
is a significant stress factor for the entire population.
 The noise affects the nervous system causing psycho-physiological changes
to the blood circulation, sleep disorders, adversely affects the visual
function and endocrine glands, producing biochemical disorders
Research - Evaluation of the quality of
the environment in Bucharest
 Methodology
 Data collection
 Information processing
 Expression and interpretation of final results
 Research hypotheses and objectives
 The research hypotheses: the analysis of the quality of the environment in
Bucharest will help identify the environmental problems it faces; the analysis
of the quality of the environment in Bucharest will help find solutions for
environmental issues identified
 Research objectives: assess the impact of environmental factors on
Bucharest
 Presentation and interpretation of results
 Assessment indicators of air quality
 Distribution of air quality index in Bucharest

Conclusions

 Environmental indicators demonstrate that most of the Earth’s physical

condition is constantly deteriorating
 In environmental matters, some problems can be solved, such as: the rapid
development of constructions, low comfort housing, the damaging of technical
infrastructure, air pollution, water and soil pollution, noise pollution, expansion of
degraded areas, waste management, congestion, ecosystem degradation,
insecurity, the diminishing of open areas
 Without a change in the perception of the regional development, without an
improvement of dialogue and cooperation between administrative units,
without applying the provisions regarding the protection and conservation of
plans, programs and projects of landscaping, urban planning, economic
development etc., Bucharest will become a victim of globalization, an area
with a very low competitiveness and a cause in the demise of the environment
Thank you!
