ART
• the expression or application of human creative skill and
imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or
sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their
beauty or emotional power.

• the various branches of creative activity, such as painting, music,

literature, and dance.
The origin of art
• Art came from the word “ars” which means skill. It is synonymous with
skill, cunning, artifice, and draft, which all mean the faculty of what is
devised.

• The very concept of the ‘birth’ or ‘origin’ of art may seem inappropriate,
since humans are by nature artists and the history of art begins with that
of humanity. In their artistic impulses and achievements humans express
their vitality, their ability to establish a beneficial and positive
relationship with their environment, to humanize nature; their behaviour
as artists is one of the characteristics for selection favourable to the
evolution of the human species.

• Art is a creative activity that expresses imaginative or technical skill. It
produces an artifact, also called a work of art, for others to experience.
Those who do this are called artists. They hope to affect the emotions of
people who experience it.
• Art is often considered the process or product of deliberately arranging
elements in a way that appeals to the senses or emotions. It encompasses
a diverse range of human activities, creations and ways of expression,
including music, literature, film, sculpture and paintings.
• Art is generally understood as any activity or product done by people
with a communicative or aesthetic purpose—something that expresses an
idea, an emotion or, more generally, a world view.

Business
• A business is an organization or enterprising entity engaged in
commercial, industrial, or professional activities. Businesses can be for-
profit entities or nonprofit organizations that operate to fulfill a charitable
mission or further a social cause. Business is also the organized efforts
and activities of individuals to produce and sell goods and services for
profit.
• In a word, “Business means creation of utility”
- From the functional point of view, the business is related all kinds of legal
works of producing , marketing and exchanging products and services
with the intension to earn profit .
The origin of business
• Old English bisignes "care, anxiety, occupation," from bisig "careful,
anxious, busy, occupied, diligent" busy + -ness. The original
sense is obsolete, as is the Middle English sense of "state of being
much occupied or engaged“ the latter replaced by busyness.

• Business is extremely important to a country's economy because
businesses provide both goods and services and jobs. Businesses do these
things much more efficiently than individuals could on their own.
Businesses are the means by which we get most of the goods and services
that we, as consumers, want and need.
• Business is hugely important in a country's economy because it is the
main economic engine for the country. Businesses are a very important
part of the circular flow of any market economy. They buy resources from
households in the resource market and sell to households in the product
market.

playing an important role in the economic development of the
nation and for the upliftment of living standard of the people.
• The quality of life means a level of enjoyment, comfort and health
in one's life. Business improves a quality of life in two ways. Firstly,
it provides high-quality goods and service to the people required
for their enjoyment, comfort and health. Secondly, a business offers
employment opportunities to the people by which they can
generate income and improve the quality of life
