activities.
A project has by a target completion date.
A project is usually large and complex and has
many interrelated activities.
The execution of the project activities is always
subjected to some uncertainties and risks.

Project Plan Computation
• Based on the precedence relationship,
determine earliest start and finish and
latest start and finish for each activity
• Determine the project duration
• Calculate float for each activity and
determine critical activities
• Develop timetable of resource
requirements based on activity schedule
Project Control
• Ascertain project specifications, timelines
and resource budgets before embarking
on a project
• During review, monitor progress of each
activity, especially critical activities
• Reassign resources to bring project back
on track in case of slippage
