ABSTRACT

There is a need to attain enhanced images in cases

of many sea bed explorations. Image enhancement is
the process of improving the quality of the image for
clear visibility.
OBJECTIVES
 To provide an underwater images with high accuracy
by means of eliminating the unwanted colors and
noises.
 To discard the unwanted colors by means of White
balancing.
 To differentiate and strengthen the images by using
gamma correction and edge sharpening.

MOTIVATION
 There are still many visual tasks & humans can easily do,
but that are beyond the reach of computer vision.
 There are many 3D capturing methods are available but
the important thing is our world is 4D (3D+time).
 So, the images taken in bad circumstances and taken in
under water are not seen as clearly as what we saw
original.
 Therefore, image enhancement techniques is mandatory
and this made us to choose “Image Enhancement Using
Dehazing” as our content.
METHODS/ALGORITHMS
• There is no specific method / Algorithms for Image
enhancement.
• The images here have to be processed by the
following techniques step by step.
