NAATI CCL TEST

 WHAT IS NAATI CCL Test?

• CCL stands for Credentialed Community Language Test.

• It examines you on the basis of your language abilities/skills at a community level and
how good you can interpret and translate it.

• The applicants who lodged their visa application based on the point-based system (such
as Subclass 189, 190), generally opt for the NAATI CCL Test.

• It awards you with 5 bonus points for your Australian visa.

 CCL TEST FORMAT
• In the CCL Test, the examiner plays a recording between the English speaker and a person
speaking a language other than English (LoTE).

• There will be two dialogues of approximately 300 words both in English Language and
LoTE. The dialogues are divided into segments, where on completion of a segment, you will
hear a chime sound after which you can start recording your answer.

• You will be given 30 minutes to complete your test. However, it is going to reduce to 20
minutes from January 2020.
 CCL Test Marking

• NAATI CCL Test will be for a total of 90 Marks (each dialogue comprising 45 marks).

• You need to score a minimum 29 marks in each dialogue and a total of 63 out of 90 marks,
to pass the NAATI CCL Test.

• However, Remember marks will be deducted for errors like grammar, vocabulary,
pronunciation and register.
