process
• Think of reasons that each step is important
• Write down
Step 2: Outlining
Capturing your audiences’ attention at the beginning of your presentation
is very important. It may decide the successful of your presentation. Your
presentation opener will be awesome if you follow these steps. First, give a
confident introduction. While many presenters give their presentations, they
show their nervousness clearly. In this step, you should stay calm and
confident so your audiences can feel safe and be willing to listen to your
presentation. Next, give your credentials. Instead of simply giving your title
and years of experience, you need to show what you are able to offer them.
After that, deliver your hook. Your hook has to be something that gets them
to believe they want what you are going to give them. Take a moment right
now and write down why your presentation will make your audience more
happy, successful or free in their life. Fourthly, introduce your agenda .The
purpose of this step is to show your audience the takeaways for your
presentation - the things they can learn and use tomorrow after listening to
your presentation. I recommend you use a powerpoint for this step. Finally,
give a credible statement. You can do this by giving relevant or compelling
data to your audience to support your message. If you do these steps within
the first five minutes of your presentation, your audiences start to trust you
and listen to your presentation carefully.
