Introduction
• The inventor of the natural gas industry in the country
• PPL has been the front line player in the energy sector since the mid
1950s
• PPL today contributes over 20 percent of the countries total natural gas
supplies in addition of producing crude oil, Natural gas Liquid and
Liquefied petroleum Gas.
History
• The company history can be sketched back to the formation of public
limited company in June 1950 with major shareholding by Burmah oil
company of the United Kingdom.
• PPL has acquired 100 percent of shareholding of MND E&P limited ,a
company incorporated in England and Wales. The name of the
subordinate has been changed to PPL Europe E&P limited.
• PPL runs six producing field across the country at Sui and Qadirpur the
seconds leading gas field.
Vision
• To uphold PPL’s situation as the leading manufacturer of the
hydrocarbons in the country by exploiting conventional oil and gas
resources ,resulting in value addition to shareholders investment and
the nation as a whole.
