Reading is the complex cognitive process of


decoding symbols to derive meaning. It is a
form of language processing.
Success in this process is measured as
reading comprehension.
Types of Reading

There are three different styles of reading :

• Skimming

• Scanning

• In-depth reading
In-depth reading
Reading in depth means reading a text more
carefully.mean that you should take enough time and
focus to make sure that you truly understand what the
text is saying

Skimming Scanning
