UNDERSTANDING CHILD BEHAVIOUR

ROLE OF TEACHER
Teacher play a very important role in students life. A
teacher is role model person in students life who bring out the
best in them and encourage them to strive for greatness.
Teachers know that students are the future of the country, So
they share the knowledge and helps them to become a better
persons.
I think we need teachers on every step of life. They are
not only important for students but also society. Presence of
teachers in any meeting and social activities boost the moral
and make the time more valuable. Here are a few thing every
teacher need to do for students:
• A teacher should be impartial, he/she must treat all the students equally.
• A teacher or a tutor need to understand their students from different angles,
like how much skilled a student is, how much time he take to processes
information, how good his memory is or why he does not understand
something.
• She/he has to think of solutions to help the students to overcome their
problems.
• There are different kind of students, some are slow in learning, some are fast
learners and some are average students. Generally teachers, do not like to
explain a concept again and again to a student. So a they must be patient
enough to deal with such students.
Every teacher need to have these essentials qualities. They need to be
clam, enjoy their job and realise its importance.
CHILDREN BEHAVE IN DIFFERENT WAYS

• Frustration
• Fear
• Sensory issues
• Strong feelings

• Boredom
Frustration:
They can’t do something, or can’t tell you what they want.

They are frightened of something, or being in unfamiliar
surroundings.
SENSORY ISSUES:
• Some children can be over- or under stimulated by certain sounds, sights,
smells, or noise in the environment.

• Being very unhappy or angry about something, and having no other way of
expressing their emotions.

• Having excess energy and not being able to burn it off.

INABILITY TO UNDERSTAND
• If a child has limited understanding, they may not know what is expected of them, or
need extra time to process what you mean.
BOREDOM:
• They have had enough of a particular game/food/situation.
TOP 3 QUALITIES WILL HELP CHILD GROW UP TO BE
SUCCESSFUL:

• Respect
• Responsibility
• Resilience
Respect: If you respect child, he will learn to respect himself as well as others. Respect helps
children build self-esteem and feel secure. You can teach your child to respect other people’s things
by not letting him rummage through your drawers and cupboards, or asking for permission before
taking someone’s belongings.

Responsibility: Teaching a child to be responsible helps her learn to take care of herself, excel
in school, and work diligently at a job someday. Teach your child how to keep her toys after play.
Do it with her, not for her. Remember to give appropriate praise after that to reinforce positive
behaviour. If your child loses a favourite toy she was responsible for keeping, don’t immediately buy
her a new one. Read books to your child where the main character is responsible, and explain what
the character did afterwards.

Resilience: Resilience allows your child to overcome adversity and maintain a healthy self-
esteem even when things go wrong. Teach your child not to give up by encouraging him to try
again, whether it’s a block tower that keeps falling over or a word he can’t figure out how to read.
Model resilience by letting your child observe you hard at work, or do something difficult like fixing
up a computer or mastering a recipe.
