Sindh Government Vision !
o Climate Change Resilient Sindh capable to deal with present and future climate &
development challenges on sustainable basis.
o Strong Sindh Specific Climate Change Policy effectively addressing climate issues in the
province ( In line with NCCP)
o Other provinces also have their separate climate policies already. i.e. KPK
o Sindh is more prone to climate change due to its unique climatic, demographical &
socio-economic profile and having different eco-systems requiring government to
steer the crisis
o ECC&CDD has no effective role / strategy despite being focal point on the
subject in the province, SCCP and its action plan will help bridge this gap
Sindh Climate Change Policy
o SCCP (draft) is now ready to address climate change in Sindh keeping in view
SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and Climate Compatible Development
regime
o Provincial ( more specific) climate policy in line with NCCP to address climate
change in Sindh
o Policy (draft) has different adaptation and mitigation measures etc. (Draft
shared)
o Policy (draft) covers urban planning, capacity building, climate finance and
other important policy components etc.

o Sindh Climate Change Policy Approval from Sindh Govt./ Cabinet (Formality)
