The class will go out of the classroom.

Each group
will be assigned to observe in one particular area
in the school.
GROUP 1 – CANTEEN
GROUP 2 – LIBRARY
GROUP 3 – SCHOOL GYMNASIUM
GROUP 4 – ANY GRADE SCHOOL BUILDING
The students will mark all the
problems identified in such area.
After 10 minutes, the class will
go back to their classroom for
analysis.
Process questions:
1. What are the things needed to be improved
in your assigned area?
2. What do you think will be your
contribution in order to address those
problems?
3. Can you identify agencies/groups that
initiate to solve those problems?

WITH LOCAL GROUPS
Before implementing community action
initiatives, it is necessary to build
connections and partnership within a
community. Establishing links is a process of
identifying and locating different actors and
players within a community who share a
common purpose, interest and goals.
Partnership building involve coalition
formation and strengthening relations with
key community groups, stakeholders and
individuals. It also involves assessing their
knowledge, perspectives resources, and
influences that may result in accomplishing
desires and community needs.
What is the purpose of
forming partnerships?
• To bring about more effective and efficient
delivery of programs and eliminate any
unnecessary duplication of effort.
• To increase communication among groups and
break down stereotypes.
• To build networks and friendships.

• To revitalize wilting energies of members of


groups who are trying to do too much alone.
• To plan and launch community-wide
initiatives on a variety of issues.

• To create long-term, permanent social


change.
