 The management is derived from France word
manage which means handle the hours
 On the other word management is processes to
plan, to organize, to Co-ordinate and to control
any activity.
 Management is the process of getting things done
with the aim of achieving goals effectively and
efficiently.
 Management is a continuous effort aimed at
shaping an organisation & contributing to its
overall growth.

PLANNING
 Planing is the basic and fundamental function of
management.

 Planning means deciding in advance what to do and how


to do.

 Plan is a projected course of actions.

 Planing is the process of thing which start from an “idea”.

 Planning is a process of identifying and selecting


appropriate organizational goal.
ORGANISING
 Organising is the process of grouping all such
activities which are necessary to carry out a plan.

 Organising is the process of creating a structure and


enables employee’s to meet the plan to the goals.

 Organising is concern with the arrangement of


resources like people, material, technology,
finance etc. In order to achieve organisational
objectives.
STAFFING
 Staffing refers to collecting the resources
men and materials as per the requirement
of the plan.

 It is the function of management in which


put right man on the right job.

 Staffing involves man power, training and


development, promotion and transfer of
work according the situation and
capabilities.
DIRECTING AND CO-ORDINATION
 It concerned with carrying out the desired plan into
action.

 Direction initiate actions. Direction is telling people


what to do and seeing that they are doing or not.

 Supervision.
 Co-ordination means to provide a link between various
department of management.
SUPERVISION AND CONTROL
 Supervision refers to a continuous
evaluation of the functioning of staff
whereas control refers to checking of
quality and quantity of the result.

 Supervisior has to tell the sub-ordinator


what they are going to do and watch over
the whole work and control the activities.

 The objective of control is to ensure that


actions contributes to goal.
RE-ADJUSTMENT AND IMPROVEMENT

 During the process of control if any draw


backs are noted immediate steps are taken
for necessary Re-adjustment and
improvement

 So as to ensure better result and effective


work.
