ELOCUTIONARY CONTEST-2019

A PENETRATION OF INDIA’S CURRENT SITUATION

 PG Department of Commerce

 Date: September 5, 2019

 Rules of Debate:

 A team must consists of 2 speakers where one speaker will speak in favour of the
topic and the other speaker will debate against the topic.
 The medium of debate must be English.
 Time limit for each participant:
 Minimum Time: 4 minutes
 Maximum Time: 5 minutes
 Every participant will be judged on the basis of following 3 parameters:
 Content
 Debating skills
 Facial expressions
 Each parameter carries 10 marks.
 Overall 3 teams will be ranked as first, second and third on the basis of total of
marks scored by a team (marks scored by both the participant in a team will be
totalled up).
 All the speakers are required to maintain order and decorum when debate is taking
place.
 Paper reading or use of slides for reference are not allowed.
