 OBJECTIVES:

•Identify strength and weaknesses of the
CSM
•Create simple cartoon story using all
features of CSM
Cartoon Story Maker allows you to
make 2D screen based cartoon stories
to illustrate conversations and
dialogues Stories include unlimited
number of frames and are view frame
by frame.
 FEATURES OF CARTOON STORY MAKER
• Make 2D screen based cartoon stories to illustrate
conversations and dialogues. Stories can include unlimited
number of frames.
Each Frame can include:
• Images drag and drop library items onto the frame or import
own digital photos or images saved from the web.
• Text Bubbles: Select from the range from text bubbles or
information boxes. Drag and drop onto the frame and start
typing. Text can be in any language and in any script.
• Voice Recording : Add new voice recording using the
simple built in recording panel. You can also add recording
already saved on your computer.
FEATURE LIST
STUDENTS CAN…
• Create dialogue using their recorded voice and acting out situation with their
own photos.
• Can use cultural based photos and import them in cartoon story board…They
can even put their very own photo in front of these culture based scenery or
background.

TEACHERS CAN…
• Provide a script or storyboard which students use to create a story
• Can create partially completed stories by which students can then open and
complete.
• Use cartoon story maker in other subjects

• Can be of used by any subject area.

• Can be accessed even by students.
• Printable
• Can be integrated to other OER apps. E.g.
Courselab
• A very artistic way to present lessons, story, poems
etc.
WEAKNESS OF THE CARTOON STORY
MAKER:
• As of now this apps is subject for upgrade.
• Limited capacity to edit characters- There is a
need for another application like photoshop, to
remove the parts of photo which is not needed for
the foreground. (Powerpoint has also a feature on
removing background)
• As of now it is still have no capacity to be
published. However, it could be printed out. Save
to JPEG and could be attached on other apps of
OER like the Courselab.
