• Before the Activity
- Students should attend to their personal needs beforehand and be properly
seated before the start of the program.

• During the Activity
- Observe silence and pay attention to the talk, ceremony, or performance.
- Applaud with reasonable enthusiasm at the appropriate time. Refrain from loud laughter and
guffaws.
- Refrain from standing, moving about, and fidgeting while a talk or speech is being delivered.

- Everyone should leave the venue quietly and in orderly manner.
9.1.8.1 ENGLISH POLICY

• CSJ-R is an English Speaking Community. English is the official medium of instruction and office
communications in the College. All members of the academic community are expected to use
English at all times.
9.1.8.3 RESTRICTED AREA ON
CAMPUS
• Prayer Room. This area should not be used as a hang-out, study, or meeting place in order to
preserve and respect the sanctity of the facility. This is the most sacred place in a Lasallian and
Catholic School.
• Corridors. Loitering is not allowed so as not to disturb on-going classes. Students should
observe silence and other when passing theses corridors, especially when transferring from
one classroom to another.
• Vacant Classrooms. These rooms are strictly for classes only.
9.8.4 SMOKE-FREE CAMPUS

The College is NO SMOKING CAMPUS,Violations will be dealt with accordingly:


• CSJ-R Students. Any situations caught smoking on campus or within 100 meter radius from
the school premise with be fined P100 for the first offense, P200 for the second offense
including a suspension for 2 days, and P400 and suspension of 3 days for the third
offense. A fourth offense will mean dismissal from the school.
• Faculty/ Staff. Faculty and Staff are enjoined to be models for the students; behaviour.
Violators are subject to the same sanctions cited above, including disciplinary action to be
given by the Administrator.
9.8.4 SMOKE-FREE CAMPUS

• Guests. Guests are subject to the same NO SMOKING regulation. Violator will be asked to
leave the campus and will not be allowed to re-enter. Guests who came to attend
events/shows/activities/games on campus are expected to observe the rule.
• Enforcement Officers. The following are hereby designated to be the main enforcement
officers of the smoking ban:
- All Security Guards
- All College Deans / OSA Officer / Faculty
- Security Officer Officers
- Faculty & Staff
9.8.4 SMOKE-FREE CAMPUS

• In addition, any member of the Lasallian community may also confront any violator. If the
violator is a member of the CSJ-R community, he/she must be asked to stop. If he/she refuses
to stop, he/she must be reported to any proper authority.
• Fines. All fines collected will be paid to he Depository Account of the Office for Student
Affairs, either in cash through tuition billings or salary deduction.
9.1.8.4 SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT
SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT

• As part of the school’s environment advocacy, a solid waste management program is adopted
by the different units to ensure proper segregation and disposal.

• Policies
• Recyclable wastes- wastes that one factory returnable or can be reused or recycled such as
office papers, newspaper and cartons, day packs, bottles, aluminum cans, plastics and scrap
metals.
• Residual wastes- wastes that go to the landfill and cannot be reused such as soiled paper, used
tissue, food wrappers, broken ceramics, aluminum foil and the like.
SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT

• Recyclable paper- used papers that can be recycle such as office paper with print on both sides,
tickets, receipts, newspapers, magazines, craft paper, brochures, folder, envelopes.
• Reusable paper- with print on 1 side, to be used for trial copy, draft reports and internal
correspondence.
• 2. All employees are required to observe proper guidelines in the implementation of the solid
waste management program.
• 3. a reward system, funded from the prospects of the recyclable paper will be observed.
PROCEDURES:

• 1. Sorting of all solid waste must be done of source. Properly labeled receptacles will be
provided in strategic areas to ensure proper segregation of waste.
• Office/ Classrooms- each office/ classroom must have a garbage bin for recyclable and reusable
paper.All other types of waste must be deposited in the receptacles located along hallways.
• Photo copying areas- each photo copying area must have 2 big comugated boxes to segregate.
(reusable paper, recyclable paper for collection by the B & G)
• Eating Areas- food court/cafeteria must have big receptacles to sort waste into:
( food waste, recyclable materials, residual waste)
• Hallways- each hallway will be provided with atleast 2 bins with 3 compartments to sort
wastes into: (paper, recyclable plastics/cans and bottles, residual waste)
2.Waste paper should be handed as follow:
- Should not be corrupted, folded or torn into pieces laid flat on the designated boxes to save
space and preserve its value.
- Shredding should be minimized and limited to confidential document.
- both sides should be used before disposal.
• 3. Consolidation/disposal should be implemented as follows:
• - recycled paper will be collected by the janitors and delivered to the materials recovery
facility.
• - other recyclable materials will be consolidated by the janitors at the MRF for the sale
junkshops
• 4. Monitoring and recording:
- Each office/faculty room appoints a person to monitor
- Staff/faculty compliance of the waste segregation
- The OAS will designate persons to monitor student compliance
- The volume of segregated wastes will be recorded daily by a B & G staff, who will submit to
the OA5 a consolidated monthly report.
ANTI- SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY

Committee on Decorum
The members of the committee are:
1. Asst. Dean for the student affairs
2. Discipline Officer
3. President of Student Government
4. faculty
• The committee is consulted from time to time by the chancellor to consider complicated
cases of properly damages/loss and other personnel- related grievance matters which cannot
be otherwise resolved at the Department or Unit Level. The committee after conducting
necessary hearings or investigations will submit their findings and recommendations to the
President Chancellor who will mete out appropriate sanction.

• Members of the grievance board are bound by the secrecy in any case involving arbitration that
may be referred to it. The disputants in case has been referred to the committee. In deciding
the arbitration cases, the committee applies the principle of two- thirds majority rule.
POWERS AND FUNCTIONS

• The committee conducts meetings and consolations with sectors of the academic community.
• The committee promulgates rules and guidelines as may be necessary for the implementation
of RA 7877.
• the committee undertakes activities in information dissemination, consciousness-raising and
better understanding and appreciation by the academic community of the issues relating to
sexual harassment.
• The committee shall endorse its findings and recommendations to the office of the President
for final disposition.
JURISDICTION

• The committee shall have jurisdiction over all employees whether regular or probationary:
faculty whether fulltime or part time: all other employees who have subsisting and executor
employment contracts with the College of St. John- Roxas, verbal or writing or in any other
basis and students.
FORMS OF PROHIBITED ACTS

• Physical assault of a sexual nature such as, but not limited to rape, sexual battery, molestation,
or attempts to commit these assaults: intentional physical contract which is sexual in nature,
such as touching, pinching, patting, grabbing, brushing, brushing against the victim’s body or
poking the victims body.
• Unwanted sexual advances, propositions or other sexual comments such as, but not limited to:
- sexually oriented gestures, notices, remarks, jokes or comments about a person’s sexuality or
sexual experiences directed at or made in the presence of the compliant.
- Preferential treatment or promise to the compliant in exchange of sexual favors
- subjecting or threat of subjecting the compliant to unwelcome sexual attention.
PROCEDURES

• Complaint – Is a formal charge writing and under oath shall be filled with the Chair of
Committee by the aggrieved party or by any member of the community having direct
knowledge of the commission of the act complained of,
THE COMPLAINT SHALL CONTAIN THE
FOLLOWING:
• The name and other personal information of the person(s) against whom the complaint is filed.

• The narration of the pertinent facts and other circumstances of the case.

• The complaint shall be signed and sworn to by the complaint.


• The respondent shall be notified by the Committee in writing of the complaint field against
him/her with the copy of the complaint attached within 3 days after receipt of the complaint.
Preliminary hearing may be conducted during this period.
ANSWER

• The respondent is required to answer the complaint in writing and also oath, writing 3 days
from receipt of the notice and the copy of the complaint.

• Unwarranted failure of the respondent to file the answer within prescribed period shall be
deemed an admission of the principal act complained of.

• During the preliminary hearing, the Committee may determine a prima facie case not later
than 3 working days from receipt of the complaint and all other documents and shall schedule
the case for formal hearing after receipt of the answer
