VISION AND MISSION
• Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

• Women Empowerment

• Surat- Smart City

INTRODUCTION
• With increase in population, the scenario of
cleanliness with respect to garbage
management is degrading tremendously.
• To avoid such situations, we have come up
with a solution called SMART BIN
BRIEF IDEA ABOUT THE
PRODUCT
• We will firstly bifurcate the bin in two- i.e., wet
waste and dry waste.
• As soon as a person’s hand reaches upto 15cm,
the smart lid will slide itself open so that it
becomes convenient for citizens to throw the
waste, also, to motivate them, as soon as the
dustbin detects the waste, it will generate a
coupon (1 coupon = 5 points) that people can use
and redeem them in their government taxes such
as property tax, vera bill, house tax, income tax,
etc.
WORKING
• As soon as a person’s hand reaches upto 15 cm to the translucent lid,
it will slide itself open so that the person can throw the waste
without worrying about hygiene, i.e., without touching the dustbin.
The lid will open with the help of two sensors installed at both the
sides of the bin. It will close immediately and won’t open before 20
seconds so that it people cannot misuse the advantage of coupons by
throwing multiple wastes one by one. The person wont wait till 20
seconds as time is precious.

• The third sensor will detect the waste, which will be placed at the
bottom of the dustbin. As soon as it detects the waste, a coupon
machine attached at the ‘dry’ side will generate one coupon and the
person can collect it and redeem it at government offices later.
SECTOR AND COMPETITORS
• Waste Management - Segregation waste will
help the government.

• Recycling processe will be easier.

• As of now, we don’t have any competitors as

this is a new innovative product that we have
come up with, hence creating a monopoly for
this product.
MARKET RESEARCH
• We usually see that people in India throw
waste anywhere they want without actually
considering the cleanliness that they need to
keep in their surroundings.
• So we came up with a product which will
definitely motivate the new youth.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS
• Firstly, we will purchase all the raw materials
required, that are, Plastic dustbin, 3 sensors per
dustbin, 1 coupon machine per dustbin, 2 fiber
glasses for 1 dustbin, 2 stickers (1 for wet and 1
for dry) for 1 dustbin, and a coupon paper roll for
1 dustbin.

• We wont be outsourcing the assembling work

instead, we will assemble everything in our own
assembling space.

CONCLUSION
One limitation of our product is:
• People can misuse it by being greedy and
throwing waste one by one so as to generate
more coupons to avail more discounts. But,
one needs to understand that personal
benefits will come only when the country gets
benefits. We, the youth, can only come
forward and contribute in transforming a
‘developing India’ into ‘developed India’.
