 Deforestation is a rapidly-growing problem in

areas like Africa, Central, and South America.

Not only does this mean less trees, less
cleansing oxygen, and the displacement of
the wildlife, deforestation means dangerous
decrease in a natural fighter of global
warming.
 Human Population and Pollution-a growing world
population might seem like an obvious threat to the
environment that goes far beyond the debatable theory of
global warming.
 Earth Changes- changing the earths natural resources
 Ozone Deterioration-environmental contamination that
can affect conditions around the world.
 Acid Rain- form of air pollution in which airborne acids
produced by electric utility plants and other sources fall to
Earth in distant regions.
 Dead Zones in the Ocean-the disappearance of sailors
because of dead zones.
 Species Extinction-the end of existence of a group of
organisms, caused by their inability to adapt to changing
environmental conditions.
 Deforestation-indiscriminate cutting or over-harvesting of trees
for lumber or pulp, or to clear the land for agriculture, ranching,
construction, or other human activities.
 Desertification- decline in the biological or economic
productivity of the soil in arid and semiarid areas resulting from
various factors, including human activities and variations in
climate.
 Human Activities and Loss of Habitat-the inappropriate use of
forests and over disturbance of our mother earth, also over
population.
 Climate Change-measurable increases in the average
temperature of Earth’s atmosphere, oceans, and landmasses.
Scientists believe Earth is currently facing a period of rapid
warming brought on by rising levels of heat-trapping gases,
known as greenhouse gases, in the atmosphere.
 Increasing Wildlife Trade- the selling of wildlife.
 Over Exploitaion-Commercial logging, slash-and-
burn agriculture, fuelwood gathering, and population
growth have contributed to the deforestation. The
widespread clearing of trees has caused soil erosion,
and the resulting silt accumulation in waterways and
irrigation channels has polluted water resources.
 Pollution-contamination of Earth’s environment with
materials that interfere with human health, the
quality of life, or the natural functioning of
ecosystems (living organisms and their physical
surroundings). Although some environmental
pollution is a result of natural causes such as volcanic
eruptions, most is caused by human activities.

 Natural phenomena is not man-made.
Navigation search weather, fog, thunder,
tornadoes, biological processes,
decomposition, germination: physical
processes, wave propagation, erosion, tidal
flow, and natural disasters such as
electromagnetic pulses, volcanic eruptions,
and earthquakes.
 The braches of Science (also referred to as
Science disciplines) are commonly divided
into three major groups: Natural Sciences, the
study of natural phenomena (including
cosmological, geological chemical, and
biological factors of the universe.)
 Natural disasters fall into three broad groups:
 1-those caused by movements of the earth.
These occur with the minimum amount of
warning and include earthquakes, volcanic
eruptions and tsunami.
 2-Natural phenomena is an observable which
is not man-made.
 3-Physical phenomenon is associated with
stationary or moving electrons and protons,
energy, any source of usable power and free
energy.
 Every year, natural disasters kills
around 90 000 people and affect
close to 160 million people
worldwide. Natural disasters
include earthquakes, tsunamis,
volcanic eruptions, landslides,
hurricanes, floods, wildfires, heat,
wave and droughts.
 Drought and flooding are the most
deadly natural phenomenon,
hurricanes, tornadoes, and
earthquakes.

environmental threats.

observed in the school campus?

natural disasters?

natural disasters?
