Module Overview
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module, students will be better able to:
• Demonstrate an understanding of the increasing impact of
project management issues in practice from consideration of
relevant problem based case examples.
• Demonstrate an understanding of a critical awareness of project
planning (including, but not limited to, developing a work
breakdown structure, scheduling, costs and benefits, stakeholder
management and risk management), project monitoring control
and effective project closure.
• Demonstrate an understanding of project evaluation techniques,
project lifecycle concepts, and project management
methodologies.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the role that projects play in an
organisational context, the role of the project manager, and
people processes.
