KEY OBJECTIVES OF
THE EVENT WITH
THE STAKEHOLDERS
PROGRAM AND EVENT KEY
CONCEPTS AND OBJECTIVES.
 Think of your goals as your event’s
purpose. Your purpose is the big
picture reason your event exists –
where you want to be vs where you
are now. Event goals are the reason
your event exists – to inform, to
include, to celebrate, to persuade,
etc…
SMART Objectives Are,
Well…Smart
S – Specific: For example, wedding program that will be held on
August 30 in the year of 2020
M – Measurable: How much – the hard numbers we can measure,
such as 150 visitors on the wedding and 30 of them will not attend.
A – Achievable: Not only is the objective achievable, we’re also
relatively likely to accomplish it. The wedding will be successful
from the church to reception.
R – Relevant: The couple will be happy and well satisfied. That is
the objective why the event maker do their best.
T – Time-bound: From the day that they call to the office, the
group will make the whole plan of the wedding from the start till
the end.
Or maybe they should be
SMARTER?
Evaluated- The final summary of the goal should not fall on
you like a bolt from the sky. In pursuing your objectives, you
should evaluate the progress on a regular basis. This way you
will know at what stage you are and what actions you should
take to ensure 100% achievement of the goal by the end of
the set time-frame.
Reviewed / Readjusted / Recorded- The last R in
SMARTER is defined differently by various specialists.
However, the three main trends point to the fact that the
realization of the goal should result in some reflection and
further action. It’s worth checking if it’s not your approach
that blocks the goal. It is also worth documenting the various
stages of its implementation, to be able to look at them later
and draw valuable lessons from.
The learners will apply
the SMART objectives
by organizing their own
Events.
Ask the learners on how they
think about the lesson and
how it may be helpful for
them. How are they going to
apply it in their daily lives?
Learners will share
the lessons learned
in the class about the
topic
Event Objectives
 Step #1 – Collect the data
 Step #2 – Pick the goals that you can implement using
events
 Step #3 – Check your budget
 Step #4 – Run a SWOT analysis ( strength, weakness,
opportunities and threats )
 Step #5 – Assess your resources
 Step #6 – Check the event calendar for the upcoming
months
Additional activities for application
or remediation
