HEBREWS 4:12

For the Word of God is living and powerful and

sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even
to the dividing apart of soul and spirit, and of the
joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the
thoughts and intents of the heart.

The word of God is more than enough to overcome every

struggle that you have been experiencing.

CONCLUSION

• Do you believe that the Bible is Holy…

• What is Holy in this bible is the Content, and
the more it become holy when you read it
and apply on it.

8
• Confess or Declare this:

“This is my Bible. The Bible is the word

of God. I am what it says I am. I have
what it says I have. I can do what it
says I can…. “

9
10
Avoid circular reasoning

The Bible is true The Bible is

because it is the God’s Word
Word of God because it says so

• All Scripture is God-breathed and is

useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in
righteousness
- 2 Tim 3:16

• Above all, you must understand that

no prophecy of Scripture came
about by the prophet's own
interpretation. For prophecy never
had its origin in the will of man, but
men spoke from God as they were
carried along by the Holy Spirit.

God’s Word

• If the Bible is inspired by a perfect and

sovereign God, then we can expect it to be:
• Unique from any other book.
• Inerrant – without any errors in its original
written language.
– Historical and archeological accuracy (100%)
– Prophetic accuracy (100%)
• Relevant to peoples of any time and culture.
• It is what God wants us to know about Him.

– Written over a 1,500 year time span
– Written over 40 generations
– Written during times of war and peace
• David during war

unfolding story: “God’s redemption
of man.”

(Circulation)

published in more languages than any other book
in history.

(Translation)

• One of the first major books ever translated.

• It is the most translated book in history.
• Total languages in the world: 6,912
• Total people in the world: 6.5 billion

Uniqueness of the
the Bible
(Survival)
(Survival)

• Unique in its survival

– Survival through time.

• Having been written before the invention of the printing press on

material that perishes and having to be recopied for hundreds of
years did not diminish the style, correctness, or existence of the
Bible. Compared with other ancient writings, there is much,
much more manuscript evidence than any other book.

– Survival through persecution.

• The Bible has withstood attacks of its enemies as no other book

has. Many have tried to burn it, ban it, and outlaw it throughout
history. 21
Uniqueness of the
the Bible
(Survival)
(Survival)

– Survival through criticism.

• It has withstood the attacks of skeptics

for hundreds of years. A French king
once proposed the persecution of
Christians and was told: “Sire, the
Church of God is an anvil that has worn
out many hammers.”

I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth

disappear, not the smallest letter, not the
least stroke of a pen, will by any means
disappear from the Law until everything is
accomplished. - Matthew 5:18
22
Uniqueness of the
the Bible
(Teaching)
(Teaching)

• Prophecy
– It is the only book in which is found a large body of specific,
accurate prophecies related to individual nations and all
peoples of the earth.
• History
– Astonishingly accurate. Used successfully as a guide by
professional historians and archeologists to find lost
civilizations.
• Personalities
– The Bible deals very frankly with the sins of its characters.
It doesn’t paint a false picture of Biblical heroes as many
books used in other religions do. It simply tells it as it is.
23
Uniqueness of the
the Bible
(Conclusion)
(Conclusion)

• The obvious conclusion is:

– The Bible is unique from any other book in
history.

– This uniqueness doesn’t prove it is the Word of

God, however it does imply that if you are looking
for truth that you should start by reading the book
that has drawn more attention than any other.

– A strong evidence of the power of God’s word is

the testimony of transformed lives
