WHAT IS STRESS?

recruitment process outsourcing.

Polaris, TCS, infosys, wipro, HP, etc.

OBJECTIVES
The objective of the study is to identify the existence
of work stress in the organization.
To study the factors causing stress among the
employees
To study the impact and usefulness of Work Stress
Management and also to suggest measures for coping
with stress.
To identify measures to reduce stress
Need for the study
This study is needed for the company as well as the
researcher to find out whether the employees are working
under stress. If yes, what types of stress are they suffering
from? Stress is one of the major factors which affect
performance. If the employees don’t perform well, their
morale will be very weak, which in turn will affect the
company’s revenue.
The need of the hour for each company is to find out
whether their employees are suffering from stress. If the
stress factors are found out and solved, the company and the
employees can perform well and increase their revenue.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research design used in the study on STRESS
MANAGEMENT is Descriptive research.
The total number of samples which I have taken for this
study is 50.
The sampling techniques , used in this study is convenience
sampling.
Data source used in this study is primary data
The research instrument used in this study on impacts of
employee absenteeism is Questionnaire.

FINDINGS
Majority 78% of respondents accept that stress factors
that contributes to stress at work and the rest 22% did
not accept.
Majority 86% 0f respondents accept that the job stress
were affect the family and the rest 14% did not accept.
Majority 100% of respondents accept the level of
physical environment problem in the work place causes
stress.
100% of respondents are reveals the level of family
problem causes stress.
Majority 82% of respondents did not accept that the
job were affect their social obligations and the rest18%
were accept.
Majority 94% of respondent accept that stress
positively influence their job performance and rest 6%
did not accept.
Majority 52% are neutral and rest 48% of respondents
accept that they frequently used the word I am busy at
the work place.
100% of respondents are reveals the level of physical
exercise and yoga reduce the stress.
Majority 80% of respondents are accept that the financial
motivation will reduce the stress and the rest 20% feels
rarely.
100% of respondent are accept that spending time with
family will reduce the stress.
Majority 40% respondent agree that improving working
condition will reduce the stress and the same majority 40%
feels that improving the working condition will rarely
reduce the stress and the rest 20% did not accept.
SUGGESIONS
It is recommended to the company to initiate a few changes at the workplace
such as timely targets, distributed workload, flexible work hours and
periodic relaxation.
It is recommended to the company to organize frequent camps or program
son meditation, yoga, transcendental meditation and stress management.
It is recommended that the company should give one task at a time and give
sufficient time in meeting the targets so that the employee performs his best
without any stress.
It is recommended to the company that if stress management techniques are
initiative then the average health of the employees will be better and they
will be able to better cope with stress, then by the level and degree
of performance of the employee will improve.
It is recommended to the company to provide frequent counselling to the
employees who are under stress.
CONCLUSION
Stress management has become the most critical factor in
today’s world also specially in consultancy companies.
Organization must begin to manage people at work differently,
treating them with respect and valuing their contribution.
Employee retention is more important for the future
development of the organization.
At the end of the study, we can conclude that through there are
sign of stress among the employees and such stress is affecting
their behaviour, it can be controlled and reduce effectively.
This can be done by giving counselling and incorporating the
suggestion given here in at individual and organization level.
