Flooding is a disaster which commonly

happens in large and densely populated
cities. InIndonesia, the floods hit Jakarta
very often and cause many victims.
Then, do you know the process of how
flood happens? Pay attention to the
following explanation.
 EXPLANATION
The process of natural flooding is
preceded by rain which falls to the
surface of the earth.Then the rain water
is absorbed by the ground surface and
flows to the lower place. Once
thatcondition happens, evaporation and
the water appear to the surface of the
land. Flooding can bedisastrous for
humans when floods happen in an area
that people live because the water
carriesalong objects like houses, bridges,
cars, furniture and even people.
 EXPLANATION
On the other hand, the process of
non natural flooding is usually caused
by bad habits ofhumans who do not
care about the environment, such as
littering that can make water
flowclogged. This makes the water
deposited in landfills which gradually
becomes more common.When water
reservoirs can no longer hold water
discharge, the water then overflows out
the landand cause flooding.
 CLOSING
So, what we can do ? We must
cooperate with govermant in Increasing the
green areas, make laws of illegal logging
and changing people's behavior to not make
the river as a giant trash. Participation of all
elements of society must be organized and
coordinated in order to run effectively. A
community organization should be formed
to take early action and organize public
participation in flood mitigation.

• 1. Floods can damage facilities and infrastructure,
because flooding can damage and even destroy houses,
buildings, cars or public transport.
• 2. Floods can paralyze transportation routes. When
the flood disaster comes a lot of crippled roads and can
not be bypassed by all types of vehicles, be it a car or
motorcycle. Because the puddle is high enough to make
the motor or car unable to pass through the area and
cause the road is paralyzed and stuck totally. In
addition to cars and motorcycles, rail traffic was
hampered by flooding.
• 3. Floods can destroy and remove property,
equipment, even the human soul. Many lost property
when the floods came, and also lost a variety of home
appliances because of the floods entering the house,
especially electronic objects. The most valuable if this
flood disaster to claim casualties.

4. Floods stop everyday activities, such as work and school
activities. The flood disaster caused everyone to lose their
activities because many schools were hit by floods and
paralyzed transport routes causing many people to leave for
office.
5. Flooding can cause power outages. If a flood disaster
strikes a place, then the place will be exposed to power
outages to prevent the occurrence of other disasters such as
electricity kornslet. In the absence of electricity will make
activity stalled.
6. Floods can pollute the surrounding environment. Flood
water floods can make the environment dirty due to garbage

7. The flooding can cause erosion and landslides. The more
