 STATEMENT OF RESEARCH PROBLEM
• Nigeria, just as many other nations across the globe is been faced with insecurity challenges
as mentioned earlier (Daily Trust paper, 2018).

• Hundred and thousands of lives has been lost and properties worth millions (NEMA, 2019).

• Security personnel vehicular theft, ‘The bedrock of criminal exploration in Nigeria’.

• The Consequences of security personnel vehicular theft especially in the security most
challenged region of the country Adamawa, Borno (where I am from) and Yobe state is
alarming.
• Failure of primitive approaches by security personnel: (Manual vehicular inspections, Close
distance interaction with suspects, Random inspection method etc.)

 Research Purpose
This research study is targeted at preventing, controlling and eradicating of security
personnel vehicular theft by:

• Providing the Nigerian security personnel with an advanced method of vehicles

inspection device with the following attributes
i. No stress
ii. No risk-association
iii. reduced-to-no-death recorded
iv. Easy to operate
v. Accountable
vi. Reliable
vii. Storage capacity
Vii. Durable etc.
• The Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is no doubt the solution to the Nigerian security personnel vehicle
theft

 ADVANTAGES OF RFID
Some of the advantages:
 Not requiring line of sight access to be read.

 The tag can trigger security alarm systems if removed from its correct location.

 Scanner/reader and RFID tag are not (so) orientation sensitive.

 Automatic scanning and data logging is possible without Operator intervention.

 It can be read only or read-write.

 There is a very high level of data integrity (character check sum encoding).

 Provides a high degree of security and product authentication etc.

 CONCLUSION
• This project demonstrated the viability of a cost efficient tracking technology.

• In contrast, The manual, visual-based identification, tracking, and enforcement systems are
labor intensive, risk associated, and some what capital expensive as more security personnel
deployment is required.

• Government and private investors should serve as shareholders to help make this device
available in respective nations to help restore peace and orderliness in our roads.

• The Nigerian Government should consider this technology a welcoming development

targeted at solving the insecurity challenges faced by its security personnel
