 NEW ITEMS UNDER DEVELOPMENT
Overhauling of Diado Block Instrument :
• Presently only Howrah workshop Overhauls Diado block Instrument. Availability
through trade is poor. Resulting in problem of overhauling.
• Yearly requirement of overhauling is 15– 20 per year. (Total population – 150)
• Signal Workshop planning to Developed the Overhauling Facility for 15-20
instrument per year.

Ground Connections-Thick Web Point :

• Large number of Thick web switches being provided requiring High Thrust Point
machine. For maintenance requirement of Thick Web Ground connection will
increase proportionally. Signal workshop is developing this item to fullfill the
demand of Indian Railway.

Stainless steel boom of Electric Lifting Barrier :

• SS Boom for ELB has been developed for first time in this workshop. Indian
Railway as per the RDSO drgs.
• Signal Workshop has planned to develop manufacturing facility for 50 sets per
month.
• RDSO has inspect all the parameters of SS Boom.

• Re-deployment of the staff among shops: 08 staff shifted to Erecting shop
from different shops.
• Streamlining the procedure and material handling to reduce time.

through ASR workshop. So far, 390 plungers received.
